About the author

Mati Hiis (b. 1946) has been a photographer since age 7, when he acquired his first Smena. He now uses a digital Canon, while many of the photos seen here were taken with a film camera.
-since 1973, he worked as a correspondent for the Õhtuleht newspaper.
– Awards from domestic and international photo contests since 1962. Won Estonia’s Best Sports Photo award in 2003 and 2007, Best Nature Photo award in 2004.
– Exhibitions of works have taken place in Germany, Finland, and Estonia.
– Has contributed to numerous sports photo albums.
